Financial Clarity. Faster Decisions.

For owner-led service businesses with messy or unclear financials, Luna Accounting Operations helps clean up the numbers, tighten the monthly close, and create clear cash visibility so you can make faster, more confident decisions.

About Me

I help owners and operators get reliable financials and a stronger monthly close process in place so they can stop guessing, see cash more clearly, and make decisions faster

I’m a senior accounting and finance leader with 15+ years of experience across multi-entity, high-volume environments. My work focuses on the space between the books and leadership: getting the numbers right, building a cleaner close process, and turning reporting into something management can use.

My work sits between the books and leadership:

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Luna Accounting Operations provides controller-level financial operations support for small and growing businesses. We help business owners improve financial visibility, organize their accounting processes, strengthen reporting, understand cash flow, and identify financial issues that need attention.

Bookkeeping focuses primarily on recording and maintaining financial transactions. LAO looks beyond the transactions to help you understand what the numbers mean, identify gaps, improve financial processes, and give you better visibility into the financial health of your business.

No. We work alongside CPAs, tax professionals, bookkeepers, payroll providers, and internal accounting teams. LAO focuses on the financial operations and management side of the business, while your CPA or tax professional continues to handle tax and other services within their scope.

A Financial Operations Review is a structured review of your current financial picture and accounting operations. We look for gaps, inconsistencies, areas that need cleanup, cash visibility issues, and opportunities to strengthen your financial processes. You receive clear findings and recommended next steps.

No. The review can stand on its own. If we identify areas where ongoing support would be helpful, we may recommend additional services, but there is no requirement to continue with LAO.

Yes. Cleanup and catch-up work may be recommended when financial records are incomplete, inconsistent, behind, or not providing reliable information. We determine the appropriate scope after reviewing the condition of the books.

Yes. Depending on the needs of the business, LAO can provide ongoing financial oversight, reporting, cash visibility, accounting-process support, and controller-level review.

Yes. LAO works with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop, along with other systems that may be part of a client’s financial operations.

Absolutely. You do not necessarily need to replace your bookkeeper to work with LAO. We can provide an additional level of review and financial oversight while your existing bookkeeper continues handling the day-to-day accounting.

LAO also has bookkeeping support available when it is needed as part of the overall engagement. We can help determine what level of accounting support makes sense based on your current situation.

Yes. LAO provides remote financial operations support and can work with businesses outside of New York.

Yes. LAO has team members who can provide communication and support in both English and Spanish.

LAO primarily works with owner-led small and growing businesses that have reached the point where basic bookkeeping alone is no longer giving the owner enough financial visibility or control.

You may be ready for additional financial oversight if your books are being maintained but you still aren’t sure where the money is going, cash always feels tight, reports are difficult to understand, accounting tasks are falling behind, financial processes are inconsistent, or you need better information to make business decisions.

Our goal is not simply to point out problems. We identify what we see in the financials and financial operations, explain why it matters, and provide practical recommendations for what should happen next.

No. LAO is not a tax preparation firm. We can help make sure your accounting records and financial operations are organized and work with your tax professional when coordination is needed.

The best starting point is a Financial Operations Review. This allows us to understand your current financial picture before recommending cleanup, ongoing oversight, or other services.
